Ii am wondering if there is going to be any public land left unburned to hunt in unit 7 . yikes I feel for everyone located near or in the fire areas in Colorado and Wyoming and the other affected areas.

Yeah, it will be ok. The fontanelle fire is slowly getting contained. There's plenty of good hunting left. No worries here!

I live in Pinedale and have been working just outside of LaBarge lately.

Shredder, Headed your way with GEN tag in Oct. One nice thing about hunting recent burns is that is reduces the likelihood of a fire....Fire season not fun though when your hunting a bunch of beetle killed lodgepole though.

eventally we are gonna have to get to a more natural fire frequency to reduce these big ripping crown fires. it is a challenge to balance timber production with fire ecology though. I wish i had an answer...
