Wyoming Elk draw general tag 1st, 2nd or 3d choice

I was wondering, you guys that drew a general tag, was it your 1st, 2nd or 3rd choice? And the guys that didnt, did any of you have it as your first choice?

Do nr tags ever goto second choice? The only time a tag has a second choice drawing is if there are less first choice apps than tags. I don't think that is the case for any tags for nr.

Buddy and I applied as a group in the Special Draw and both got general tags as 2nd choice. What I have read this is the 1st year that the general tag was not drawn 100% as 2nd choice in the Special Draw. Had to do with a lot more guys applying for the General Tag this year as 1st choice in the Special.

That explains alot, Im sitting here second guessing putting in for a no chance in hades unit as my first choice and general as a second choice, all my research said that paying the extra money for the special tag should have been a done deal, didnt know if I had missed something.

Almost 300 additional guys opted for Special Gen as a 1st choice this year. There were still tags that got allocated to the special and were drawn by 2nd choice guys but not enough to fill the 2nd and 3rd choice pools as has been the case in the past.

I think the draw odds went up across the board. I put with 4 points. In 2014 it was 100 percent draw odds with 3 points. Its went to 5 points..

We put in with 2.3 average in regular. I saw that there was a better chance in the special with no points then the 1 pointers in regular. It's just getting tuffet to draw a GeN. Thank you eastmans and hunting universe GEN promoters

Yeah Eastman's really promotes Wyoming..they do like 3-4 special writes ups and give out a ton of info, mostly just on trophy class cause that's all they care about......but then I've heard they complain about the odds getting harder...did it to themselves..I have 6 pts in Wyo and it used to be plenty. Now I might need 8 or 9 with a special ...getting out of control.

in 12 & 13 we got drawn with a party of 6 with 0 points for gen tags, 14 & 15 didnt get drawn with a party of 4, I didnt have a a second option and dont really know if I could've done something diff to get better odds

got 1 pp in 14 and tried to use it with 3 others that had none for 15 unsuccessfully

gen tag first choice. I did not draw and will be on the phone come July 8 for archery left overs for unit 67& 68
