I’m purchasing my WY pref points tonight for elk and antelope. Can anyone tell me if deer and antelope seasons overlap and if the Deer pref point is worth the $41? Thanks in advance!

Are you a resident? I'm not a resident, but I purchased my elk and deer preference point because I plan on putting in for some units that will require some preference points to get drawn. I don't see how it's not worth it, especially if you plan on hunting some quality trophy producing units- seems like it will be the only way to get a quality tag, especially since being a nonresident.

Thanks for the response. I’m a non resident. I think I’m pretty sold on it. What I should also should have asked was if it would take many many years to draw a tag. I looked up the draw odds and it looks like there’s some units that don’t take too many points to draw. I’m pretty thankful for the antelope opportunity that WY provides over my home state and I guess having a deer tag in my pocket also would be a good bonus.
