Gambled and drew above our point level on pronghorn tags. Will be the wife’s first hunt with a tag!

There seemed to be a solid 1-1.5 points of creep in the handful of the units keep an eye on for regular draw.

In one certain unit, the special pref points dropped by nearly 2 whole points. There was ~2/3 drop in the number of special applicants in 2024 vs 2023. And, it looks like the difference was made up for in a increase in regular applicants.

This is just one particular, mid-level unit but it looks like the price increase did it's job and kept people out of the special draw.

Went in for special deer in an area with no tag cuts. Can't believe I didn't draw with my point level. Second time the creep has gotten me this year.
