Wyoming trespass fee for private land in a general area, is that a thing? How do I find available land? Feel free to DM if you have something
In Wyoming? Not a chance. More like fully guided hunts starting at $9000 or $10,000. If I could book a private land, hunt in Wyoming, where there were actually elk and I didn’t have to rent horses I would do it every year. Me and 7250 other people. If you actually have elk on your land in a private area you wouldn't likely do a trespass fee, you'd be doing 5 day semi guided for $3-4k
Maybe for a Cow during late season... and those are damn hard to find.Wyoming trespass fee for private land in a general area, is that a thing? How do I find available land? Feel free to DM if you have something
@Laramie - I was thinking of posting a similar question to get an understanding on how ranchers feel regarding depredation hunts? Is it different vs "in season" curious as I hold a 5 tag for end of Nov-Jan.Maybe for a Cow during late season... and those are damn hard to find.
I use a week of vacation a summer to go build fence for a Wyoming rancher for access to late season cow hunt. I normally would make 3-5k per week building fence.
Good luck...
Thats what I'm interested in can you DM me the ranch infoNot elk, but a group of us DYI hunted mule deer (elk were there too but we did not have elk tags) in Wyoming. We stayed at a ranch that had a couple of guest cabins and we paid a trespass fee to cross the ranch private property to access the public land
How long ago was that? Deer are common on ranches. Most if not all ranches have at least some deer. Elk are not that way. If a ranch has elk in Wyoming, it’s usually outfitted by the landowner or leased by an outfitter. Not elk, but a group of us DYI hunted mule deer (elk were there too but we did not have elk tags) in Wyoming. 2 years ago. Note the "we paid a trespass fee to cross the ranch private property to access the public lands", we stayed at the ranch in some cabins for lodging and cooked our own meals then we walked across the ranch private property (the trespass fee) to enter public lands - I harvested a mule deer on the public lands. The elk were on the same public land as the mule deer. How long ago was that? Deer are common on ranches. Most if not all branches have at least some deer. Elk are not that way. You hiring?3-5k per week building fence.
Never say never but he’d be pretty lucky to find one. You’d almost need to know someone. A inside connection. And it wouldn’t be in the 3-4 thousand range. The more at affordable option might be a property where the hunting isn’t what you pay for as much as it is the access just to cut through there to get to large tracks of public land with the little to no pressure. Not always true.
I raised my employees. No thank youYou hiring?
If you’re hunting WY, download OnX. It will tell you exact boundaries for public vs. private land. If you want to know penalties for trespass etc., call WY Fish and Game. They are always helpful.Wyoming trespass fee for private land in a general area, is that a thing? How do I find available land? Feel free to DM if you have something
