I guess the business of trying to obstruct public land access was just a little too much for Ashley "Lego Queen" Mayfield, the Carbon County Attorney. "Lego's" declined to file as a candidate for the 2022 elections. Perhaps she's counting on getting hired as Fred Eshelman's top counsel? :) Regardless, don't let the door hit you in the $*%

VIVA the MISSOURI 4!!!

I'm confused. Why do you hate this person again? Bc they prosecuted an issue that is high controversial as their role as a prosecutor? Why does this mean she is going to work for that guy?
I think we all feel as if she was really reaching in how she handled the case in a bunch of different aspects starting from the very first w instructing the sheriff to issue citations even after he declined initially along w game and fish. The list is too long to list everything she did to make herself look like a fool I thought as well. I’d agree as well she seemed to be bought off. Maybe not but that’s exactly how it looked

Bought off? The public land crowd is absolutely hilarious. Im going to be so sad when this corner crossing thing is all over. Its an endless stream of comedy gold. I'm sure the prosecutor was willing to risk a decade in prison for corruption over a trespassing ticket. Yup, I bet thats how it happened. Rofl. Absolute gold.

I wonder if she wanted the citation to be issued bc a mad landowner or his staff wouldn't stop calling? I think the public land hunting crowd needs a reality check. Have the OP or yourself ever worked in a public service position where you had to take complaints from citizens? Just curious. The reason things look a certain way to the crowd here is because you are biased for a certain outcome. Thats why they "look" that way.

The bottom line is she wasn't acting on her voters behalf's but rather big out of state money.

She knew the likely outcome of the case but wasted the taxpayers money anyways. There is no law on the books prohibiting corner crossing. As the CA she had no right to request the citations be issued. CA's don't write law, they are entrusted to uphold it. She was trying to create law... with no motivation to do so. Yes, it definitely appears like she was provided motivation from giant out of state money. Her deciding not to run again right now makes this situation stink even more.

Literally no evidence for anything being typed here. So she took money to bring a case that she knew she would lose and have to resign over. Comedy gold on the forums.

It doesn't matter if I do or dont and it doesn't sum up anything.
It matters if you want your intent to be understood. I was only curious as your post scanned a little hostile to the “public land crowd” and read as though you are not part of that “crowd”. It’s hard to get someone’s full intent in writing if they don’t elaborate.

Naturally you don’t have to tell anyone anything about yourself. You can keep yourself to yourself so long as yourself would like 😉

I listened to the trial and read every article on it. She seemed dumb enough w every single thing she did and said to pretty much destroy her career. Her whole case in court was simply smoke and mirrors. Then she had the arrogance to issue more citations for 2020 in front of jurors for the same exact alleged trespass which had even less evidence. I don’t think you will find one person here that doesn’t think she looks like an idiot and that doesn’t have anything to do w the outcome we may have wanted. She just didn’t have a case from day one and she didn’t help herself in the least

I tend to agree with you that my gut feeling is it's highly unlikely she's acting on duffel bags of bills being dropped off. However, it also doesn't seem far fetched to think Eshelman's wealth and influence might have had something to do with the decision to charge whether she was conscious of that influence or not.

Ok. Someone making bad decisions doesn't make them corrupt. What you typed here makes way more sense than the "she was corrupt and took bribes line" that people seem to think makes sense. People do dumb things all the time.

Besides that, people here have no idea was her actual motivations for bringing the case and using that tactic in front of potential jurors. You are all assuming. Same with not running.

I lean towards this.

Doesn't make her corrupt. Doesnt really mean anything other than the ticket was issued and the matter was decided in court. Exactly how disagreements in this country are supposed to be decided.

I'm not sure what more evidence you would like. The majority of the people in Wyoming do believe the case she brought against the defendants was wrong. She did in fact waste the taxpayers money. She did in fact bring a case to court without an actual law on the books prohibiting what she was prosecuting them for. It is speculation on why she did it but i ask what else would motivate her to do so?

Ok, ill need some help on the law being cited. I was under the impression people are issued trespass violations for corner crossing or some variation there of fairly regularly in WY.

The justice system is supposed to not care what the public thinks. So the argument that the major dont like the judicial proceedings is completely irrelevant.

As far as wasting tax payer money, maybe you're right but if this is the kind of subjective trash you are going to bring as evidence, your argument is going no where.

As far as what else? Literally, that is your evidence? What else could it be? You need to get your act on the road. Absolute magic.

Let me know when she runs for higher office AND this guy gives a big fat donation to that campaign. That is what evidence looks like. Not, "she's waiting money as a government employee" or i dont like her so "whatever could it be".
I don’t need evidence of a crime to not like her. We could just make it that simple. I don’t vote for lots of politicians based on not liking them and what they do in office. No sense arguing about it much more.
