That maybe so but as the pictures prove a lot of people think there 150 inch deer is a 180. From1983 -1997 there were 552 typical and 329 non typical deer that went book. And that was a cross all states and provinces. So to have a couple dozen book deer in the rafters is quite the accomplishment.

We don’t measure them. After we cut the horns out with a Sawzall we compare them to what we call the “house buck.” That’s the minimum for bringing into the den. If it’s bigger we’ll put a screw through the skullcap and put it on a plaque and try to shoehorn it onto the wall. If it’s smaller it goes in the barn.
