WV thrift store find

I’m sure in the west, this is a common occurrence. But it’s not very often I walk into a thrift store in my home state of WV and find a beast like this. I used a rope I borrowed from a sled and a pegboard on the wall as a ruler(one inch spacing usually). So I’m quite sure I under scored this deer. My wife got a kick out of me in the floor doing this while she shopped.

I left it there and it’ll be there for years to come. $275. I’ll put that toward a tag next year and dream of finding one of my own

That’s a nice buck. Sure would be cool to know the story.
I picked up a really nice Dall sheep head for $80 a few years ago. Might be the only sheep I ever own

I’d pick a sheep up in a heartbeat. I like to imagine some old timer shot it skull capped it before anyone even had a chance to stop him. I can hear him saying “you can’t eat them horns anyway” while his son pouted the 1500 miles home haha
