Hey Everyone,

As the title says I am looking for a Titanium backpacking stove (seek outside, kifaru, TiGoat).

I am looking for something for a Sawtooth as well as something that I can use in a little bit smaller, or larger, shelter like an LBO or a 8-12 man tipi if needed, but depends on the stove.

I really like the Kifaru Oval Titanium stoves since I could switch out the side walls to make them larger/smaller to some degree.

Please don't hesitate to throw out ideas of larger stoves too for a 12 man tipi as well. Or any other info on suggestions would be appreciated as I am new to the floorless shelter stove setups.

Let me know what you have, condition, and best price you can sell it for, and we'll go from there.

Thanks for all the help!

As an alternative, you can build your own stove. They are really quite simple. Perhaps check out this thread below. While many of us used Stainless foil for the stove body and pipe, you can easily sub in Ti for some weight savings. What is really nice about my setup is I now have two stove sizes that I can use at different times for different applications basically using the same parts and just using different end plates.

onlythebow,
If you are stuck on the modular feature, I would think the Cylinder stoves with one 12" body and a longer 16-18" body would work out for you. Ed-t, Ti-goat, or the Lite Outdoors model are all very compact, and light. Depending on the door, they are often more air tight then most box stoves. Take a hard look at the HPG Sheppard Stove, with it's ease of assembly, large door, and flat top for cooking. This well designed stove is a bit heavy, but it is rummored a smaller model may be offered soon. I have the large Wi-Fi (Ti-goat) that is still yet to be tested. I had planned to utilize it more by now, but my hunt plans never got me there. When you choose a stove remember that a larger OD pipe will add weight to the total. Good luck with your ultimate choice. LaGriz

My wife bought me the Liteoutdoors-titanium-stove for my birthday. It was on backorder and just arrived the other day. A couple of changes that he had made... larger door and also replaced the cables that ran across the top of the stove and replaced them with titanium rods. I'm gonna try to do a burn in this weekend or next.

HI Guys,

Thanks for all the information and suggestions. I really like the Lite Outdoors stoves and was not aware of them.

In regards to sizing the Lite Outdoors stoves.........would a XL from them heat a 12 man tipi adequately?
I assume the 18" would be great for a Sawtooth, and the 12" great for an LBO?? What do you guys think?

Any other ideas, offers, or for sale items let me know!

Mine is an 18" and I have a bpwd luna 6. it will burn you out of it. Could have done 12, but like the idea of stuffing more wood in it at a time. I have the older version, but Brennen quoted me $40 for the new front door and Ti rods to upgrade.

Cant answer for the bigger tent, but IMO, i would think it would be ok.

One thing to note, they are made in Canada so shipping is pretty steep. Still cheaper than some of the other options. Also if you want a spark arrestor, you might pick one up from Ti goat. Think they are like $10 or so.
