As the title says, Looking to buy a lightweight shelter with a stove for a later season sheep hunt. The area I am going into has lots of firewood so this would make the most sense if possible. I will be by myself so small is ok and the lighter the better.

Thank you,
Andrew

Andrew,

A couple of questions first so we can give you good information...

For the shelter, do you want to be able to stand up or is a low profile shelter acceptable?

For the stove, do you just want something that will burn wood to heat/boil water or do you want an in shelter stove that will keep you warm when the temperature drops down to freezing or lower?

I possibly have a megatarp and annex for sale. Has one small hole that could be patched easy near the rear pole cup via trekking pole.

Looks like I found something that should work for the hunt! Thanks to all who looked and offered help. That sawtooth and oval stove might be on the wishlist now!

For solo use I would recommend a Titanium Goat Vertex 5 with their titanium cylinder or wifi stove. Gets you under 4 lbs total weight and gives you room for your pack and woodpile inside the shelter. I just sold mine, but only because I found a great deal on a cuben Ruta Locura Lone Peak and wifi stove.

They make stoves that come with 'wifi' now? And here I thought I was pretty fancy with a flip phone. Now they make 'istoves'. I'll never catch up.
