Anyone done the wrought iron fluting form lri or kampfeld?

Looking at a #4 to flute

Any experience on weight savings?
TIA

I don't recall exact weight savings, but I had Kampfeld do it to a 26" light Palma and it was around 8-10oz I think

Karl at Kampfeld Customs did this one for me. Can't recommend him highly enough. Heck of a nice guy and great work. Couldn't tell you on the weight savings but would guess 8 oz or so

Looks great. Any idea on overall weight? What contour?

Bare rifle without rail weighed 7lbs 4 oz

It's a 338 win mag with a 22" barrel plus the brake.

To be honest I'm not sure what contour barrel he started with. I just told him I wanted the minimum contour that would work with a 5/8 thread

Gun as it sits unloaded weighs 8 lbs 9 oz

That's pretty much what I'm after! Nice setup
