Food Plot Rookie

If you were in my area, I would say plow shallow now, or disk, and plant a more x of clover and some grain grass that will grow fast and replenish nitrogen.

Lime heavy if needed with pellets.
Fertilizer as needed , when planting.

For a fall plot ( check zones) but for NC zone 3-4 Late August on into early October
Plant oats or winter wheat, more clover, and a few strips of turnips, radishes, and Rape/ Kale mixed in on small spots.

Heavy fertilizer before a rain after plants are 3-4” tall, and pulverized lime anywhere the color looks light.

After frost, the deer should really key in on that combination, and most of it will come back or produce a seed
/ grain in the spring.

For Spring turkey, burn a few sections around edges and re plant grass and some cheap lettuce/ radishes/ beats…..

The animals will investigate, find grain, then get hooked on fresh green.

Our deer are spooky, so enter and exit in one area, and try to minimize being there during feeding times until you’re hunting.

You should be able to find 1-3 access points. Focus set up on those and wind.
