This is what my typical season looks like:
CO High Country Mule Deer/Elk typically the first 10 days of season is all I get
KS Spring Turkey
KS Early season Mule Deer (first of October time frame)
KS Later season Mule Deer/Whitetail combo (Mid/Late November)
then there are always wild cards:
WY Antelope
NE turkey and whitetail
this year...POSSIBLY...AZ ELK late september
I fletch up the SAME set-up in 3 different colors!! One group is always with WHITE!!! The others vary Pink is a great go to color because NO WHERE I hunt can I find PINK! Early season I like whites and yellows and Late season whites, greens pinks.
My late season for Mule Deer is a TON of CRP grasses and cut fall crops (corn, milo, wheat). I pick colors I can find! That being said I also have a central THEME on my rigs. Last year was "WATERMELON" Greens and PINKS!!!
I have run Tweety in a blender (Red/Yellow), Kermit in a Blender (Green/Red). SO have fun with it too!!! Think about your terrain/light/the colors of the year when building and picking.
