I had a friend who was gonna have shoulder surgery as someone eluded to above . Was in quite a predicament in the wiping department. Told him we would set him up with a saw horse with some carpet tacked to it. He could choose shag or something in a berber.

Had a house built a few years ago. She who must be obeyed had the electrician put in an outlet by the toilet. Bidet seat with heated seat, heated water, blow dryer all with various temp settings. Front and back nozzles that can be positioned and/or will move back and forth. Controlled with a remote. Not quite the fully automatic Japanese toilets I've seen but pretty close.
