Would you buy this scope?

Getting one in your cart is easy. Typing your payment info/hitting submit before it disappears it the hard part.
May want to consider creating an account at s2h and entered billing info, address, credit card, everything so when it comes time to order, it is as simple as "just put them in the cart and place order with credit card on file".

Question about the rokscope is the reticle plumb when the turret is level? I have seen four maven rs 1.2 now where the rifle is level, elevation turret cap is level, reticle is not plumb. Every nightforce, Zeiss, Leupold I have ever been around has had a plumb reticle with a level rifle and level elevation turret.

Use a plumb bob. I level the action on my counter, tape a weighted string in the middle of a doorway. And line up on that. Turret method failed me too many times.

Can never trust it. Plumb Bob, or better yet a laser level. Easier to see. If you have a shop or space where you can get 20 yards or more, it’s easier to get precise.

I did not have that same luck with Leupolds.

Yeah, I'm seriously curious. Even maven admitted they saw the same thing. Obviously it's not a huge issue due to the overwhelming success of the product but I am curious about it for these new scopes. If you installed yours with levels only and did not verify with a plumb Bob I would be curious to see how yours look.

Once I got out the plumb Bob I compared a bunch of other rifles I had done with defensive edge level kit from my safe and they were all plumb. Specific models were nightforce nxs, Zeiss v4, Leupold vx-6, nightforce shv. My mavens were all slightly out of plumb when all levels were level.

Its not a deal breaker by any means and I didn't get rid of any mavens but it's a cool feature of an optic where the turret caps and reticle are level with one another or at least very close to it.

Ah, the joys of international time zones.

And to think I was the guy who started the 'What scope should do you want to see the THLR reticle in'?

Wah wah wah. If this is going to be that kind of party, I'm going to stick my #### in the mashed potatoes ...

But seriously - congrats again to @Ryan Avery, @Formidilosus, and Jake @Unknown Munitions for making this happen. 500 pre-sales in 97 minutes is testament to the need for this project.

And just hoping I get in on the 500 next month.

Really would love to know what the largest order was…. Seems every comment is either 1 or 2. 250+ people buying a scope that has really only been talked about on here is amazing

First day here??

Maven has RS 1.2 instock
SWFA has 3-15’s in stock
Eurooptic has Trijicon’s and NF

The S2H scope isn’t magic. We are lucky to have as many quality options as we do. Spend your money else where.
I suppose it makes you feel better to insult strangers.

I own or have owned all of those. I’m not looking for another of any of them, as the ZT appears to be a significantly better option for a variety of reasons. Time will tell though.

Maybe I’m just frustrated to have suffered through 50 pages of moa vs mil in this thread, only to be surprised by how the pre-order dropped.

I hope everyone can remember that there was absolutely zero ill-intent by UM on this drop, and I suspect they're more than a little surprised that: 1) they went through all 500 in an hour, 2) that they did this by mentioning to 2 or 3 guys offline that the drop would be 9am today, and 3) that anyone's actually pissed at them as though they should have known. Even if being upset is understandable, let's cut UM some slack and grace on this, and just continue to have excitement and gratitude at what they're bringing to market.

My understanding is that there should be another pre-sale next month, and the month after, etc., for another 500 scopes. I may be imagining that or it may be what I suggested they should do...

As for why put a cap on pre-orders, even with a $100 down, there are going to be some people who decide they just cannot afford another $899 charge when the time comes to pay for the complete scope. Additionally, we have already seen how easy it is to overwhelm Unknown shipping departments (e.g., I'm still waiting on a Black Friday suppressor to ship). Spreading them out at 500 per month may well make it easier to predict flow rate and hire the right number of people for the job. Anything with a six-month lead time is going to require some artificial way to regulate supply until they get to the point where they can afford to keep sufficient inventory in stock to handle "normal" demand.
Gosh I hope you’re right!

There was no way I was able to be online today, tried just now and sold out😔

Hit wish list for thlr for now.

I don't think money was the reason to limit it to 500. They've only tested 3 samples so far. If they did 2000 and there was an issue with them, that'd be a huge problem. I think they want to make sure they are what they seem before they start selling them like hotcakes.

The Zero Tech Trace ADV 4-24x50mm which is also Japan made by Low failed holding zero on the drop test. Is this scope built different?
