Would you buy this scope?

OK Canadians, you win! I have applied for the US DEPT of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security SNAP-R account in order to apply for export authorization. As I read it, once my account is approved, you would apply for your Canadian import permit, give your approval to me, and I submit for the export approval.

As long as @ZeroTech Optics approves of this, we will give it a try.

Thanks for posting a pic of your Snapper, Jake!

This transparency is kick ass

Its a tough way to operate but I hope it plays out well for all of us. Talking margins out in the public is nightmare fuel for most business and marketing people so it is refreshing to see it.

If it really is a good scope (im sure it is) and they can actually deliver them in sufficient quantities to make ripples, in theory itll help correct the scope market. When there is competition, the consumer wins.

Let's just hope the optical giants of the world don't buy their little venture out and booger it all up. Im pretty excited to try one.

RETICLES:

We have to invest a large chunk of money in to every reticle we request for tooling. As most of Rokslide is on the MIL wagon, of course we started there. Form's THLR reticle may not be for everyone, so there is another MIL reticle option that is very basic offered by ZT. I personally brought up the lack of MOA reticle as an issue, but we agreed after the first couple runs of scopes with everything on the up and up, we will add one quickly.
Will the THLR reticle be UM exclusive or will ZT offer it as well?

I did the Canadian side of the import docs when I ordered scopes from Europtic and Maven. It was easy. I got my import certificate in a couple of days.
Yeah, I was almost on the Maven bandwagon a couple of times but couldn’t warm up to the reticle enough. Not concerned about the hoops to jump through to be honest.

Any ITAR concerns?

John

Sounds like Jake has heard our voices. As discussed there are a few options for Canadians at least.

-a direct preorder from ZeroTech Canada. Obviously the easiest since they already import their scopes.

- @mindful hunter could offer a presale and bring them in for us. Would be a great way for him to kick off his new venture with unknown munitions.

- importing direct from unknown. It doesn’t look to difficult, but requires additional paperwork and input from both sides.

- an additional option would be to use a dealer that handles imports like prophet river or others. Would require paperwork on Jake’s end and an additional fee on the buyers end

Found some info on a previous thread for those who may not have looked into importing before.
