I am guessing they are buying these scopes from LOW for between $400 and $600, maybe less, depending on order size with quantity discounts. Thats with shipping and customs charges.

I have owned and sold a few businesses importing goods from Japan and China. 1000 scopes costing them $1m is if they were paying retail.

Shit, put me in the first batch of 10 scopes and I’ll guinea pig that Canadian import process on the S2H scope Jake.

I did the Canadian side of the import docs when I ordered scopes from Europtic and Maven. It was easy. I got my import certificate in a couple of days.

Great idea. I looked him up and left a comment on his most recent review to get a hold of me. I can't see any other way to contact him.

Pretty sure competitions are still won using MOA reticles. Pretty sure @Formidilosus is just as deadly with an MOA reticle as he is with MIL. He simply prefers MIL. If the scope dials correctly the center of the reticle will kill regardless of MOA or MIL. It has been happening for decades.

Producing this optic with an MOA option doesn't make it a POS or take away from it. Unlike how some of you believe, it doesn't invalidate their design. It simply accommodates more shooters whether that makes them "fudds" for not being willing to learn new things, it doesn't matter.

Apologies my response wasn’t really for/to you in particular ( rereading I went way overboard starting sentences w “You”) and maybe I’m just contributing to the useless and distracting banter.

I find it fascinating to watch (and then personally test) the innovation of products and ideas we are seeing on RS.

Outside looking in, there is a great team of folks working together making some great products. We are all benefiting from a no compromise no bs technical advisor and UM finding the balance to make the business work.

Ideologically I like the no compromise version, as I think that will push the whole industry forward faster to a better way of doing things in general.
If I’m Jake I prob see $ that’ll be left on the table and other scope companies will fill the gap for MOA.

That said buying them through Zerotech canada or Jay is fine just hopefully they/we can get in on the first batch. I know there will be alot of appetite for them up here.

OK Canadians, you win! I have applied for the US DEPT of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security SNAP-R account in order to apply for export authorization. As I read it, once my account is approved, you would apply for your Canadian import permit, give your approval to me, and I submit for the export approval.

As long as @ZeroTech Optics approves of this, we will give it a try.

Don´t know if this has been answered in the 182 pages before this post.
Is it possible for someone living in europe, specificaly Sweden, to get in on this pre order early bird thing? If i understand this correctly Unknown Munitions will sell the scope in the US (and possibly Canada) but not export.
ZeroTech will also order and sell it world wide through their existing channels? So for us outside the US our best bet is to pester ZT to a pre order option?

We took this very low margin with you, our customer, in mind. 1000 scopes costing a million dollars was a very quick multiplication not meant to be taken seriously. We are one of the most, if not the most, transparent group of businesses around often taking undue criticism and disrespect because of it.

This is crazy. I really hope it sinks in for people and they understand how rare of an opportunity this is.

I'd love to say I'll order 3 of these, but I am a man of modest means. I'm definitely buying one, though.

I would think that unknown tariffs alone would be enough not to make a comment like that. Zerotech and S2H have taken these low margins in partnership to bring you the best product for the best price possible. This scope is being made in the exact same place, with the exact same features, as all the other $2K plus Jedi scopes on the market today that are marked up 500%+.

Maybe I'll post the first invoice like showing pocket aces you didn't call on.

ZT also has a margin as well, they aren’t doing this for free. The $400-$600 per unit was their cost. Post the invoice from LOW. LOW isn’t charging $850 per unit and I believe that you are buying the units wholesale from ZT at $850/unit. Myy point was finished on the next post. If you charged a 50% deposit up front you and ZT could likely cover the cost and get more people these scopes. Which is the ultimate goal. I don’t know what your quantity discounts are and I am basing my assumptions on my experience with manufacturing and importing. I also speak fluent Japanese and have extensive experience with their business models and manufacturing. You can think I am a dick, but I am really good at this stuff. , while I personally don’t see enough value to swap one of my NFs out for one of these yet, several Roksliders do.

Negotiate with ZT that S2h will cover their initial order cost with a preorder asking for 50% down from Roksliders with the remaining $350 due net 30 of your invoice date (super common with wholesale agreements). When the remaining $500 is charged to the Roksliders after the scopes arrive and you are ready to ship, you should be able to cover the $350/per unit, plus take your 15% margin.

Thats takes any risk of a larger order out of the equation for ZT and gives you the cash to get more scopes in everybody’s hands.

You have to see my next post down where I am saying if everybody put a 50% deposit down on them I felt like they could order significantly more scopes to make everybody happy. A larger order benefits them as well because all manufacturers have quantity discounts. I also didn’t account for any distribution overhead or marketing expense, I am just saying the to their door price is likely between $400 and $600.
