Would you buy this scope?

I realize the drop tests indirectly speak to how this will go, but I’m interested in zero checks after bouncing around in the truck for a few days, then a few more days, etc. Vibration is a SOB.

Indeed. I can’t remember a scope passing the full eval ever losing zero from the truck though.

The start. 16” 223 in the wood ROKStok lite. ADI 55gr SBK

5x yesterday
5x today.

The whole thing. Far left is the first group yesterday. Read reticle and adjusted. Put the next five in top dot. Those five were shot in near darkness- used the illumination on the last 2-3 shots. The three left hits are from yesterday.
Then, 5 more today. Adjust down .1 and left .1 and put 5 on the bottom dot.

This reminds me- I need some 223 ammo and I’m split between these 55s or some 77s

Genuine question. From what we (you) have seen…the scope is more or less destined to pass the remaining tests, no? It’s been dropped more than me when I was little, still works. Not expecting it to fail from shooting. I’m sure you’ve dialed the shit out of it with no issues. And maybe you can’t say, but it’s looking like the first 3 are green light/go/pass?? I’ll jump in line to take one at retail, all logos beaten off with a brick, and no warranty! Or if Avery would just give us a f’ing preorder (or whatever the word of the day is) link…

Yes. I do not expect to have any issues.
The real decision is that there is a 6 month lead time once the go ahead is given, and the order is placed. So- it’s a catch22. If we give it enough to fully vet them to a level I would want- they won’t be here by hunting season. On the other hand, we can say yes to whatever order number in a week or two, and have a high confidence factor that the scopes are good.

I’m not sure what the answer is.

Just place the order. 45 drops is good enough for me.

Edit: if they’re not in by hunting season than you’ll likely lose orders till next season — which makes convincing the partner company to make new scopes even harder.

Somewhere in the middle? Beat the snot out of them for a month and see when they finally give out.

In a week or two you will put more rounds than most of us in a few years.

SEND IT!

The risk reward here is not close

Do it right the first time.

If that can be done in a month a week or 6 months

I don’t envy the position you are in sir, but I’m sure enough of us in the cult are willing to roll the dice, so to speak, that the remaining tests wouldnt somehow cause a failure. Yes, that’s me being selfish in saying that.
