Would you buy this scope?

This is going to be a thing for some for sure. People expect some magical things from scopes, and delude themselves into seeing what they want to see- reference March scopes, and in my experience ZCO. The half dozen Marches I have used have all been- not just underwhelming form the magical side, but just objectively underwhelming as a base aiming device. The ZCO’s I have seen are fine and good to look through, but aren’t anything noteworthy in regards to the other “alpha” scopes- yet people fall all over themselves acting like they are magic.

This scope, if it does what the goals were outlined; will be utterly “normal”. That was the goal- a scope that you mount, zero, and never think about again. A complete none issue. The best compliment will be if people say- “yeah, it’s exactly what a scope should be”.

If its a true do it all scope, from a 30yd shot in dark timber on 3x, to a NLR Hunter event, for less then 1/3rd the price of a ZP5. Than its hard to not be impressed to me.

I'm probably going to get a SWFA 3-15 for now, but I don't like the Vertical line above the aim point.

I'm in need of a couple scopes shortly as the 223 and 243 (no 6 Creedmoor in the Tikka lineup) are in route. One of these would definitely be an option for at least the 243. I want to play with a Mildot sooner than later. Probably just going to get a couple SWFA 3-15's unless I get a wild hair for something different.

I would suggest a relatively small, discreet, clean logo for all S2H products.

Also the reticle looks much cleaner than I expected.

While that would be impressive at this price point, It might detract from the core mission of being a purpose built aiming device without extra frills that don’t add to that.

Funny but true. The formula: Have high expectations + Get item that meets expectations = "Sufficient"

It's hard to be blown away by something that matches your expectations, especially when people have a tendency to have imaginations far outstripping possible realities, and get disappointed that magic didn't happen.

That said, I suspect this scope is the kind of thing that will shine comparatively against others in real-world field use, especially against others in its same weight/mag class. But it might be the kind of thing where you have to have refined and informed expectations about durability, reliability, and low-light usability to fully appreciate. I can't wait to get my hands on a couple.

Sad but true. However, I don’t there’s another scope on the market that will provide reliability, relatively lightweight, this magnification range, a decent reticle, FFP, mil/mil and under $1000. It’s a bit of a unicorn really. Sorry for the magical term. Maybe a unicorn tool, like a perfectly balanced hammer.

This is a great mindset to contemplate in the scope industry.

As for me ... I think I'm going to quietly giggle to myself with glee every time I pick up a dedicated hunting scope with an modified THLR reticle. Thanks for making this happen!

The branding should just be etched. You can see it up close in the right lighting, but not so in your face.

As others said, I think this tics all the boxes. Just need more subtle branding. "S2H" in a dark Grey or outlined letters would look much more classy.

As far as branding, realize nobody had seen it until yesterday. No one is stuck on anything- if you think the “Shoot2Hunt is too big, or the wrong place, etc.- just say so. I can understand that the branding thing is important- not for a “look at this scooe” thing; but mainly as a “getting people to understand what S2H is, so they will be willing to listen” when new projects come up.

I would prefer no branding whatsoever, however I kind of like the “S2H” example that was posted earlier- it’s almost exactly what I drew up.

Kind of an eyesore on the Teratorn as well
