Would you buy this scope?

Crazy to me that people argue that a lighter weight scope can't be durable, or don't see the point of it.

Why build an ultra-light rifle or own a 5 pound kimber and put a 30 oz scope on it? I have done exactly that when I put an Nightforce SHV on my Kimber hunter, it felt and balanced like crap.
So it wears an old Burris Fullfield that weighs like 17 oz and it feels SO MUCH better.
That scope has so far been reliable but it's still a $200 scope and has all the caveats that come with that.

guess I could put a Trijicon Accupoint on it, seems that and the Hurons are the only lightish durable scopes but those have several aspects that can be approved on.

Ive ran mi/moa. Guess im the oddball i dont care one way or the other. Knowing system on either is simple math…moar 2nd focal for most my hunting. I believe NF will replace reticle to your liking. Have to call them to confirm.

That is probably the best do it all hunting scope currently available, but I bet Ryan and Form can do better. I’m gonna hold out for better.

Totally!! I am just saying that a 4-12 capped windage version of the 3-9 swfa would be an awesome baseline/benchmark. Anything better than that would be much appreciated!!

Not intending to be snarky either, but have you read the thread? We’re being told improved THLR reticle, low profile turrets, and from a company who can keep them in stock.

Considering the the windage caps on the new SWFAs keep brass from ejecting in my tikkas and the old ones don’t have zero stops it’s not real hard to beat them with a scope that holds zero.

I never had the issue with brass not ejecting or being interfered with on the couple T3Xs I’ve had using the 3-9 or 6X SWFA. If you did I agree that would be a big deal. It’s a non issue on my Barrett Fieldcraft with a 6X. I’m not a big fan of the 3-9 simply due to the eyepiece. Still have a couple 6Xs. I am absolutely looking forward to seeing how this turns out.
