Worth upgrading to the new Mathews bow?

are there any opinions from folks who have the limb shift tech on whether using it to adjust instead of shimming results in a loss of speed when compared to shimming? Just seems that the true "right way" to accomplish center shot is putting the cams where they're perfect as opposed to basically slanting the limb. I have a v3x and shimmed it..not a big deal if you have a press...so I'm trying to figure out if the limb shift is simply a feel good for folks who may not understand or have a press to actually shim for centershot.

I think its hard to justify a "need" to buy a bow unless you are truly unhappy with the rig your currently shooting. Unless you simply want a new bow. For many years I wouldn't upgrade unless I lost faith in what I was shooting at the time. Like 3 bows in 20 years. I would shoot all the new stuff, but rarely pulled the trigger choosing to spend money on tags, gas and other gear.
The last several years I have been in a position to get a new bow annually. I have landed on Mathews after shooting all the major players and pulling off the engage grip. I have seen improvements in my ability to hit the middle most years. The exception being the V3 from the VXR, for me that was a step backwards. The lift was complete overhaul from the V series ( vertix thru Phase 4 ). Everything changed in one bow. The lift X was no change other than limb shift addition. The ARC is another overhaul. New cams, new riser, limbs, limb pockets, ATA. Basically if your looking for major changes in a Mathews bow, then the ARC is one of those bows.

From an engineering standpoint - you're manipulating the bow out to match the archer and maybe the arrow. So it just doesn't jive to me.
From the time I picked up archery some 20 years ago, that's always been my goal with every bow I have.........make it do what I want it to do, or expect it to do. I'll manipulate whatever I need to to get them to shoot the way I want.

My latest bow is a 2020, and works just fine.......as my older bows do as well. But I'll still probably check out the ARC when my shop gets a lefty.

I also prefer the tophats personally. Although i do wish they had made .10 and included full set with the bows when sold. I do beleive its all in my head as cam lean is how we tuned bows for years before top hats and never had any issues, but in my brain the tophats seem more simple.
