Which priming tool do you guys use? I can not stand hand priming. I use the rcbs hand primer. After 100+ in a sitting i'm over it. I agree on the brass prep. I do notice that most of us do this differently. Some care about this, and some care about that.

I typically mandrel and chamfer new brass only. After firing, I deprime, clean primer pockets and then throw it in the vibratory cleaner. Next I full length size, chamfer in and out. Back in the cleaner for maybe 30 minutes. Lastly I run a brush in the neck a few times then prime. If i need to trim, I throw that in the mix as well.

I'm always reading about everyone's process and looking for any way I can simplify mine. I like shiny brass, so not cleaning is a non starter for me.

Having to toss out a case for a head thinning ring, split neck, or loose primer pocket - it’s sad to see their empty spot in the brass box after a history of adventures together. Goodbye old friend.

If I had to pick, it wouldn't be any of the options you listed. It'd mostly just be cost. I enjoy the tedious parts.

I hand prime in batches while I'm sitting in my recliner watching TV, Same with trimming.

Few things are as satisfying as nice shiny brass and even though it doesn't shoot better, clean brass is definitely taking variables out of the end product.

For bulk I use an auto measure on my press, for precision I use a RCBS (I think it's a Chargemaster) so it's really quick. Just weigh a charge here and there for verification.

I don't anneal. My brass isn't that expensive or precious and I'm not shooting rounds that consume brass quickly. If there's a questionable piece, in the trash it goes.

I use the primal rights CPS tool. Costly, but crazy fast and consistent. I used to prime on my press, but that got old.

Throwing powder is what takes the longest in my process, that’s with a v4 trickler. One day I’ll have 2 running at the same time.

I’m about to do something about this. Hand priming is killing me. Not bad doing a smaller batch but loading 300 rounds a pop gets annoying.

Load development for me. Once i find the load its easy to do all those steps listed since i have nice equipment, but the guess work and messing with the dies, charge weight etc can be a big time suck sometimes depending on the cartridge

Trimming is my nemesis. I use an RCBS Trim Pro 2. The rest of case prep I find meditative. I prime with a "Lee Auto Bench Prime" and find it works efficiently. The only thing I don't like about it is that it can be a little delicate. The parts are easy to get but the last time I had to replace something the shipping was more than the part.....next time I'll just buy multiple parts so the shipping is better utilitzed!

If no one else has said it, brass prep.

It’s a necessary evil for me at least but it’s my least favorite part; specifically trimming and chamfering. I need to get a better system for that like a Henderson or the new Hornady high speed trimmer.

I'd say sharing range time at a semi-public range when I'm trying to get something done and a fleet of rigs rolls in. Most people at the range are good people and worth chatting with and even letting them look through your scope but there seems to be a crew that will show up with 12 rifles, 2 dogs, and a girlfriend that wants to learn how to shoot.

Realistically, I don't mind any portion of reloading. I'd say it's the attempt to find the perfect load knowing that my sample size is much too small to be of value

Primers weren't quite flush on a large batch of recently loaded ammo, 300+ rounds. Decided to get cute and reseat the primers without pulling the bullets and powder to "save time."

Thankfully, once the case blew the powder stopped burning. Made a mess of my pictured hand and face. About 60 gr of brass is still missing in my basement somewhere. The bullet skipped off the press and the i beam above it before crashing into the floor.

Worst part for me is actually setting up all the gear every time I decide to do a bunch of loading. My shop isn't a good space to leave it all set up as I'd like, and haven't built a dedicated reloading space yet. This also means that once I do set things up again, there's a ton of backed up reloading to do. I usually have to dedicate a few days to it at a time.
