I know the Work Sharp micro has been a favorite of many for field sharpening, but it is now discontinued. It appears they replaced it with the Pivot which is similar but basically only has a flat diamond plate instead of diamond and ceramic rods. Can anyone comment on whether the new Pivot is just as good, and if in general small diamond plates are good or better (or worse) than diamond rods for field sharpening? Looking to get some more sharpening stuff like stones and field sharpener etc. One thing I need is a pocket sharpener capable of touching up Magnacut in the field.
