I'm looking for a rugged pair of work gloves for splitting wood and general use in rough conditions. I've been sacrificing dexterity and comfortability for quite a while and continue to buy cheap leather gloves.

I’ve gone through plenty of crappy leather gloves, and I’m ready to invest in a pair that will actually last. I’m open to spending a fair bit if it means getting something truly reliable.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I have a pair of these. The kong pro glove and a waterproof version and I am really impressed. I bought a pair for a float trip last year on a moose hunt.

They make a ton of different gloves. A lot of them are for oilfield use which has to meet strict guidelines.

If you search on their site you can find all sorts of gloves including leather gloves that are impact and cut resistant.
