Simple question: does anyone else have a hunting rifle sporting a wood stock AND a carbon fiber barrel?

When my new 6ARC arrived today, I realized I haven't seen a wood/CF combo before.

I didn't want a cheap plastic stock and feel a CF stock wasn't needed in a light rifle. I got the CF barrel because ... I just wanted to have a rifle with a CF barrel in the safe,

B/c it rarely rains in Texas, I am not worried about the stock getting wet. If it is likely to rain, I'll just have my son use my .223 or 6.5CM. I think my son is going to love hunting deer with me. It is light, small, and doesn't recoil. It is the perfect rifle for a kid who has sensory issues.

I’ve always thought the dichotomy of the two would be awesome. Then in something like 300 H&H. Like the rifle. Found it looking at .25 cal carbon options for my daughter’s future rifle.

Google it. There are some very sexy wood stock carbon barrels rifles although i personally feel the proof style pattern looks better with wood aesthetically.

Todd Ramirez alchemist series is a favourite for me.

Look up the Griffin & Howe All American rifle. They make the best one to look at IMO

I have a tikka t3 in a Boyd’s laminate stock that I’m heavily considering getting a Krieger carbon spun on.

Is that a custom stock or what. I love that rifle set up!

Yeah you bet. To expensive to have one built so I built my own :)

As someone who owns a Mausingfield with a carbon fiber barrel I think the rifle looks awesome but $19,500 for a piece of walnut is way out of my price range.

That’s why I specifically said “look at” lol frankly I can’t believe a bolt action rifle could cost that much.

I realized I also forgot the $800 titanium scope rings and $400 trigger so the stock is actually $18,300. But it’s hand carved so either their stock carver charges a lot of money or it takes a really long time to finish a stock.

I would guess and hope it’s both.
