Women’s pants help.

Hello,

I’m seeking advice on women’s pants that are quiet in the inner thigh area. My wife has strong legs and as a result the thighs rub together and I’m having trouble finding her a quiet pair of pants for her elk hunt this fall. I had high hopes for the First Lite 308 but they just came in the mail and they also make noise.

It’s a rifle hunt so maybe it won’t be as big of a deal as it was on our archery hunt a few years ago but I’d really like to come up with a solution if possible.

Thank you

I’ve heard great things about Alpine Fit women’s leggings and would suggest having her take a look:

I see Alpine fit got a worthy mention. My SO wears the Barney’s pa-18 pants and loves em. Thin quiet nylon. Two great Alaskan companies.

Hi. Do you expect to be hunting in colder or hotter weather? And how tall is your wife? I've found both of these things to make a big difference in women's pants choices.

For hot weather I truly love the fabric on the Forloh solAir pants. I found the fit on their women's line to be terrible (waist too loose while thighs were super tight and they were way too short for me), but the men's version was great.

For milder weather I usually hunt in the Athleta headlands hybrid cargo leggings. They come in a nice dark green and are abrasion resistant and very quiet. I like that they come in a tall option as well.

I also have the sitka cadence pants and find them to be very comfortable and pretty quiet.

Has she tried the Kuiu Attack pants, my wife and sister really like them, very comfortable and are quiet.

Sitka just came out with their Ascent Pants and they are great!! Stretchy and quiet material, and I have yet to see any damage from hiking around the Ozark mountains. I have been wearing them this summer and they are super breathable, comfortable and quiet, just wish they were pre-treated for bugs.
A nice alternative I found were the Kuiu attack pants and the Sitka Equinox Guard pants (they only make it in men's sizes but I found that the waist 30 fits me just fine, I'm typically a 6 in women's).

Day 2 with the Kuiu women’s PRO brush pant: Quick. Down and Dirty Review-
Slimmer fitting especially around the ankle. They still fit over boots, but it’s tight. The material is a little loud and shiny, but has proven tough in the Southern Idaho sage brush and thick patches of Aspens. If you think you will want to wear base layers with these pants, size up. They have zip vents in the inner thighs(cooter coolers) and outer thighs. The top of the vent pockets zip open at the top to a large pocket on both legs. There are two pockets very close to the waist band that are a little tight and difficult to access.

Did you use their sizing chart or order your normal size? What boots were you wearing?

I buy men's pants, have long legs.
Been wearing Core4element for years and they are good for me.
