Following. But will add a twist to this.... What about youth bows? Not sure what the kids are even capable of pulling. They have been shooting cheap Cabela's youth bows. Would like to get them something that they can actually shoot and learn the mechanics on. I am also planning to get my GF a new bow this spring to shoot with me all summer and hunt this coming fall. Going to start her off at 35 lbs and work up from there.
I see some of these bows that are tunable from poundages in the teens to 40 lbs. Does this require a cam change? And can it be done and maintain draw length?
I do have a bow press of my own to start tuning my own bow as well as help set up my GFs bow and the kids bow.
Check out the Genesis X.. Its basically a NASP style bow that goes up to 40# and has a 65% let-off and its very reasonably priced.. If she likes it and gets proficient, then upgrade to something nice
