Hmm I running a sirui st124.

When I screw it in tight to the wiser it's not long enough to mate with the tripod

So I have been attaching jt with the tripod first and then screwing on the wiser. But the wiser then unscrews easily when panning I can't tighten it down like I can the tricer lp. Not sure where id utilize a set screw

Way late to this, but I have used a nylon washer to address this problem with Wiser heads and the ST-124.

Old post, but after a week in dusty Wyoming my Ridge Warden isn't as smooth as I would like. Found your post, thinking about cleaning it and using some graphite neck lube I use reloading? Think that is materially different than what you used? This:

Nope I think that would work well. If after a dusty trip or a dusty match (my Anvil and other shooting heads I use graphite too) I just blast it with some air and add a little more graphite and she’s good as new. I’ve rarely needed too though.

Worst case if you don’t like it it’s easy to wipe down and try grease again.
