Of course they go together. But some are better than others. Everyone knows that, but besides taste, there is a wine that has a purpose after the bottle is empty. The Hunter bottle has a Nosler rifle bullet and is wrapped with 550 paracord. The miniature axe on the Woodsman bottle is really a ferro rod. And this broadhead on The Archer is pretty dang sharp, and a useable bowstring. Talking about the Woodsman selection, 3 reds and a white. An idea of a survival expert and Alone contestant. I haven’t tried the white, but like the reds. And no, I’m not an employee or paid for promoting. Just supporting the outdoor theme. Do we have many winos on here?

Yes, we have winos here. But maybe more accurately, we have appreciators of well-designed, theme-appropriate gear that happens to be filled with wine.

Chit wine is still chit wine, and those sort of gimmicks pretty much guarantee chit wine.

Sorry to be so blunt :)
Thats^ accurate.

Who makes those? A search on my wine app, Vivino turned up nothing. That APP is the bomb. It saves me at restaurants, Total Wines and Costco from buying something I won't like. I have rated so many wine on that app it will tell me if I'm going to like it or not.

Seems like a cool app. I've been saying for years that I should carry around a notebook to record what I like. I have somewhat discerning tastes, but never remember specific wines.

I worked in the industry for about 5 years. Now I'm industry adjacent but I still carry my industry card to tasting rooms.

Vivino is free. They make their money from ads and trying to push wine to you.

I like it better than the beer app because it has a sophisticated Algorithm that takes the wines you rated and liked or disliked then applies that to other wines. Once you rate a bunch of wines, it develops a flavor profile that in my experience has been very accurate.

How many times have you ordered a glass of wine at a restaurant and it wasn't very good? That almost never happens when I check it against my app.

Then there is buying wine; I can snap a picture of the label and 95% of the time it pops up with a rating, expert comments on the wine and Vivino users ratings...plus it tells me the odds on whether I will like it. if the odds are over 80%, its been dead on. This leads to some really good relatively inexpensive finds at Costco and other places AND has helped me avoid ones that ARE expensive and I probably wouldn't have liked it.

The beer app " Untappd" I'm using doesn't have that predictive feature unfortunately.
