I picked up this fleece a few years ago and I'm really loving it for active wear in intermediate to cold temps (30 degrees down to mid single digits) with a base layer and maybe a vest.

I'd love to find a pair of pants to match, but the company doesn't make pants with a wind membrane and google is giving me 2 categories of options. One is the super cheap $40 soft shell pants sold by Temu and other offshore locations, and something ranging close to $500.

I'd buy the $40 pants if I thought they'd last more than one hunt/hike but I'm just not in the market for $500 pants.

Are there pants that are wind resistant/proof with maybe a bit of insulation that aren't "swishy" pants that are super loud that don't cost north of 200 bucks a pair?

Hey, JT another PA guy here. Around $200 from hunting brands means Ebay or year end sales from the major players. If you are patient, I bet you can do well on Ebay or from members here. Spend time on the big name sites and get an idea of what model pants you like there and then watch postings. I've done that for years and sometimes get lucky.

I have a friend who swears by Duluth's fleece lined fire hose pants and a thin base layer. He is down right brutal to his and every couple years sends them back for a new pair. They are not archery quiet though. He can't sit still for long so he spends most of his time still hunting and pushing deer to everyone else.
