For sale is a Winchester model 94ae in .30-30 with leupold rings, and a Leupold vx6-hd 1-6 x24 scope with a firedot duplex reticle. Not a super old model, but bought before they stopped production in New Haven. Probably bought it in 2005 or 2006. Great shape, functions perfectly. $1,250 +$100 shipping to FFL of your choice. Looks like a great price compared to what I’m seeing here in TN. How do you like that Leupold on it? I’ve been considering putting an LPVO style scope on mine but was worried about last light performance in timber.

I’m embarrassed to say, I’ve never taken that gun out of the safe once I put that scope on. However, on my other firedot duplex reticle- I don’t think it would be an issue at all. That little illuminated dot in the middle of the duplex makes it pretty straight forward. Didn’t feel right to put a high magnification scope on this rifle. Many think it’s wrong to not leave it open sights!
