I thought the same thing- since they have some higher bc bullets in .277 now a faster twist might be nice to stabilize those longer pills.

The OP addressed it. In reality, with the velocity that the straight 270 can push a 145 ELD-X vs a 175 TGK, you gain about 50 yards based on velocity and it's out there further than my CDS turret can adjust for.
