Then you need to do that gawd awful, fugly barrel nut, or pay a gunsmith to fit a new barrel onto your action. Tikka's are plug and play.If I do that, it would be with a Model Seven that I already have.

It would be nice if Tikka would offer a normal barrel from the factory in their lite stainless. Even if I did want to pay a gunsmith to do the work, it would be cheaper than buying a Tikka and fixing it.Then you need to do that gawd awful, fugly barrel nut, or pay a gunsmith to fit a new barrel onto your action. Sure, makes perfect sense to buy something, then spend more money and wait longer to make it what they could have done from the factory. Perfectly logical.22 is perfect. Satisfies the "don't neuter your rifle with a short barrel" crowd and satisfies the "anything longer than 16 inches is dumb" crowd. Last barrel I had cut and threaded was $100, not a big deal..
I swear you could give away money on here and people would whine...
Be as snarky as you want, but there's zero reason to have to spend more money, and wait longer to get something that could be done right from the factory. Tikka doesn't give a shit about the US market demands. If they did, they would have sold actions and bolts like the customers wanted. They don't listen, and when they do, it takes 7 years for them to act.Tell me reading comprehension isn't an ability you possess without telling me..
Spend the $100 and get it cut to the length you want, I never said you had to keep it at 22 inches...
You're going to be buying a prefit then most likelyNaw. I’ll wait for a barrel with a regular end on it.
They don’t do anything fast that’s for damn sure.Be as snarky as you want, but there's zero reason to have to spend more money, and wait longer to get something that could be done right from the factory.
