what are the success rates?
I hunted Colorado this season. 9 guys, 9 elk. Decent Bulls & Cows, not monsters, but all very respectable.
How do you guys do?

And is it a gentlemen's hunt ? Walk 1 mile, but not 10 miles. Flat ground, not mountain climbing, etc.

We had a pretty good year this year. We do bulls and bucks only, so no cows. We saw some giants during the archery season, but they went up very high after the rut was over.

Our first week we got 5 bulls out of 8 hunters, which was a good opener. The cold weather really helped to keep them down lower and more accessible. All hunters had opportunities that week, one miss and one had a chance but wasn’t comfortable with the range.

The second week was really tough, it warmed up and we had such a good summer for weather that they were able to feed as much as they needed in the timber. We shot 1 buck that week. Had around 3 opportunities but nothing planned out.

3rd week got cold again, and got 4 bulls out of 7 hunters, and 2 mulies. One pretty good bull out of the bunch, the rest were in that 5x5 to small 6x5 range.

4th week was pretty interesting with 3 bulls and 4 mulies out of 10 hunters. Some pretty good bucks, nothing crazy on the bull side.

In terms of hunt style, we have some pretty good options for everyone. We have a lot of hunting stands that have anywhere from a hundred yards to a mile from where we can drive. We have some younger guides that can hike as much as you’re up to, and hunt in a little more of a spot and stalk style. We also do a lot of horse back hunting, but it is very much up to the hunter on whether they want to or not. No back country pack camps, all the trips leave from the ranch in the morning.

Gentlemen's hunt? Is that code for "I hope it's flat, private ground that we can drive to the stands?" That is a flat lander's hunt lol.
