Does anyone have any experience with this jacket?

My main questions are:

The sizing says that its designed to fit over body armor, so should i size down?

How puffy/thick is it?

Are there any similar jackets from different manufacturers that you like better?

Is there a difference between the happy suit jacket and the high loft jacket?

Thanks!

I havent had both to compare but I do have a Happy Suite jacket. Its large and made for extreme cold weather. I wouldnt use that thing unless it was below 10 degrees and even then only when your hanging out. Its a beast of a coat. I couldnt tell you on the rest of your questions as Ive never had hands on the high loft puffy to know if its the same as the happy suit coat.

Id be comfortable below 0 in it. What size are you? I have one Id get rid of for Cheap 2xl if thats your size. has a few ember marks but its in great shape. The NExtec fabric is very water resistant also. Great coat I just dont get out in that cold of weather myself.

Youd swim in this one then =-). You could almost use it as a sleeping bag =-)

I ended up pulling the trigger on the Wild Things Tactical High Loft jacket. Everything I have read says its really warm and durable. I know its not the lightest jacket but i still have a spindrift (canadian) for a lightweight packable jacket. We will see how it works this fall/winter.
