My wife drew her once in a lifetime ND Elk tag! We put in every year and never expect either of us to draw a tag for the Elk/Moose/ Bighorn in ND.
I was working and I get a call from her asking if I'd seen the text she'd sent and I hadn't yet. I immediately went to in my mind of "What did I do now" lol but she'd checked the draw results and sent me her confirmation that she had drew an Elk tag.
I couldn't about believe it and she is so excited for the opportunity to be able to go hunt this fall. I know we'll be spending lots of time down there late summer/fall scouting preparing for this.
We're both looking forward to this next adventure together and it'll be time for season to start before we even know it. Now we've got to start doing some research for the area.

Now unfortunately we aren't letting FNG's (new guys) post up unit specific questions. Any unit question/answers remain out in the world wide webs forever, which can doom some really great spots.
The expectation is that all Rokslide members will understand and support this concept and take all such conversations to private message.
Yes, it's a hassle to join and be part of this community but the rewards are worth the effort including the ability to send and receive private messages.
Posting specific unit numbers, while not against the rules for even for members in good standing, is still sometimes frowned upon by members depending upon the context of the post. A good rule of thumb to follow when discussing specifics of a unit is to ask for Private Messages or share information in private messages. While posting specific unit numbers is frowned upon, posting specific drainages or trailheads are grounds for much worse from the rokslide community lol. Use your common sense, use private messages, etc. we are all in this together and to help each other.
We have all always heard the old saying, Who, What, When, Where and How. When sharing information Roklside encourages it's members to let people know the Who, What, When, and How. but generally leave out the where.

Congratulations, i haven't personally had a tag but I've had friends that have. Its fun but still can be hard depending on how big of a bull your looking for.

No where did OP ask for any information. At all. Go easy

Thanks guys. I know I'm new here. I've read lots of different threads on here but didn't join until this week. I had just seen some guys posting about the ND Elk hunting and wanted to share about her success drawing a tag. I appreciate the encouragement and help from guys on here.

Congratulations to her. Brother in law had it 5 years ago, a friends wife had it last year, and another friend drew it this year. So after this fall I’ll have been lucky enough to experience three North Dakota elk hunts.

She's really looking forward to this hunt also. I've never seen her get so focused and serious about a hunt before and she has hunted deer/antelope all her life. I'm just excited I get to be a part of it with her.
