Does anyone know of any company that is or is rumored to make an aftermarket stock for the Winchester Expert. I bought one chambered in 17 WSM with the sightless threaded barrel. I do like it with the exception of that cheap plastic stock!!! And the design of that stock has a lot to be desired. I did purchase the add on cheek riser direct from Win./Browning which helps but it too is just a cheap plastic snap on. Yes, and by the way that was at a cost of almost $40 by the time it came to me. I'm sure the bean counters at Win/Browning wanted to keep the cost down to the market and have a good profit margin but they struck out with that stock. Not functional and with that hollow opening BUTT UGLY!
