Wide Toe Boots

I'm going to need a new pair of Boots this year, and I would like to try and find something with a wider toe box but still a more "mountaineering" style, i.e. little stiff, reasonably rigid. I have been using a pair of la Sportiva's over the last few years and I do like them, but I think my foot has grown a size and I'm finding that narrow toes really affect my day to day and have been wearing wider shoes. So I believe that going to another standard Mountaineering boot will impact me now.

It's hard to find a place that offers everything, so I'm looking for some recommendations on some models I could start searching for a couple retailers to go try some on.

Meindl has wider toe boxes than a lot of hunting boots. Worth checking out. I have a pair that are nice and roomy in the toes.

I have some pretty wide feet and have no issues with Crispi Idaho and Guides in a wide size. I have been told the Nevada is a similar fit as well, but no experience

Lowa tibets have a wide toe box. I love the fit.

Hanwag Ancash are built for duck feet like mine. Not as stiff soled as a true mountaineering boot but built just a tough everywhere else.

I'm waiting for a wide pair of the new Lowa Ranger. They appear to be kind of "Tibet-lite," which was also confirmed to me by a Lowa rep.

Hanwags Ancash is stiff and is made on the SF extra last which is made for a pretty straight big toe. I wear the Banks SF extra because I need a flexible boot and is pretty good for my wide toes.
There's also Meindl, for less wide, Hoffman Scout/Borah, haven't tried on the stiffer Explorer. Even the Hoffmans might be wider in the toes based on what I hear how narrow mountaineering boots.
When I was searching for a boot I first landed on Cabela's Meindl Denali(now Vakuum hunter), not bad in the toes, but too stiff for me. Supposedly the back is set up for some sort of crampon.

Crispi Wyoming 2s in a wide size are very wide, until I tried vivo trackers they were my favorite boots.

For an actual mountaineering boot I found that the Scarpa Grand Dru sized up a full US size works well for me. Crispi Nevadas and Idahos in wide fit too but are not a stiff boot at all if your use to a real mountaineering boot.

I also had good luck with some Kuiu Scarpas sized up but need to wear thin socks, the grand drus are the widest Scarpas I’ve worn out of 4 different boots and a true shanked mountaneering boot. I had Lowa Tibets wides and hit my little toes on the outside.

This last season I moved away from mountaineering boots and started wearing Altra Lone Peaks in a wide and don’t think I’ll go back. I hunted in the rubies in NV, and eagle caps in OR and in some super steep cliffy breaks country and they worked great. Probably put on 50+ miles with a 30-50lb pack and packed 100-120lb pack close to 20 miles hauling out 3 bulls and my feet held up great!

I love my 32 TM2 wides. Ive had foot pain issues for years until I switched. Also very quick break in period.
