It sounded really good in the marketing.

In practical use...it just doesn't move the needle for the cost associated. As noted by all of them for sale in the classifieds.

In 20 pages (30 posts per page) of the optics classifieds there are 7 threads, open or otherwise, selling NL42s and 1 looking to buy.

Seems like it does move the needle quite a bit, at least going back to December 7th.

Having had an EL 8.5 and now having NL 8s and 12s, the NL is significantly better. That's just my opinion, but it doesn't seem to be unique.

I agree, that added FOV is significant to me, they are pretty amazing

I want a set of 8’s too, I think that will be my favorite optic out there. The 8.5x EL is awesome, and I see the 8x NL will just be best case for most glassing I do… crazy clear to the edges and huge FOV

Got the 12’s first, because I have some 8x slc’s already.

I would happily pay the difference for the increased FOV, but I think they have an edge on the EL too

When we get some nice weather, my buddy has some 10x EL, so we’re looking forward to comparing side by side to see if he wants to upgrade
