I have been trying to sell a Leupold VX5 HD 4-20x52 for $1,000 near perfect condition (just a lil ring marking). I figure that this is a good price? Any reasoning or thoughts of why no takers? Thanks.

I sold mine recently, but I think there’s been quite a few on here recently. It should sell eventually, but it’s not the most popular on here because there have been some horror stories with the VX-5 that have been talked about on here. I’d try one of the leupold optics groups on FB too.

My thought is that unless someone really wants/needs the extra magnification, a 2-10, 2-12, or 3-15 generally sell in the $750-900 range so you’re competing with them

Usually when something won't sell it is because it is a very specific item with a very small user group or the price of the used piece is not a sufficient discount from new.

I sold my VX-6HD for $1200. Your price is just too high I think. I paid nearly $1900 for it I think, but at one point Sportsman's does the rebates and a brand new VX-6HD was like $1400.

Lower your price until you get bites. The market is telling you how to price it.

Sell on Gunbroker, they sell great there. I have a VX-5HD and a VX-6HD, I like them. They compare well to the Zeiss Victory HT 3-12x56 that I have, along with a Swarovski.

I looked at your ad, sold now?
A 4-20x with a duplex isn’t a very popular combo. Magnification that high warrants a more informative reticle.
