Why does Rokslide default to white background. It is terrible.

This has been brought up a few times on other feedback posts but why does Rokslide default (and go back again randomly after changing settings) to white background on Safari/iPhone browser?

The white background is awful vs the black background especially when reading at night. Also, I would be curious if there is a real reason why anyone would prefer the white background over the dark background if they had a choice.

Reading forum posts with the white background feels like using cheap Chinese Walmart binos vs the dark background which is more like reading using German glass.

Just my opinion and maybe I’m completely off but I would love to never see the white background again.

Maybe it’s your phone? My iPhone 12 with Safari defaults to black, day and night.

My wife hates using my phone because I have it reversed to white text on black. Her eyes do not agree.

But I’m with you, black BG and white text is much easier on eye strain at night, not so much brightness my eye is having to deal with.

Mine is black? with white lettering, both on my phone and pc? Ya just have to be careful not to click on the half moon up there in the right corner.

Yep, the dark background reminds me of when my wife and I were looking at houses several years ago. I walked into the kitchen of one house and everything was bright red including the countertops. Instant headache. The black and green is the same for me. But the only time I'm on RS is on my computer with a 24" monitor.
