Who’s buying a suppressor tomorrow?

Oh, and all of the SBRs and AOWs and homemade cans. Plus there are some folks in some parts of the internet that are going to intentionally submit as many homemade suppressors as they can in order to drive times up as much as possible so folks can't get them as protest. The new law makes it so that it's $0 for a bad actor to flood the ATF with infinite forms. It's going to be rough

Hate to break it to everyone, but silencer shop alone had 1.2mil suppressors held for this morning to be submitted. Add all of the big box and local shops' cans that were held until January 1st, and all of the cans that will be purchased in the next 2 weeks, and I'm guessing most folks won't see their cans for a very very long time.

Source for the 1.2 million number?

I’m in no hurry, the reality is besides the Airlock industries suppressor presale nothing of particular interests to me is even in stock right now. Thunder beast is pretty well wiped out (as usual) and I’d like their RR can for my PRS rifle but I’ll settle to keep using my ultra 7 for a few more months.

I feel like free SBR’s are going to be a bigger impact than suppressors. There physically aren’t that many cans available for sale to move the needle compared to the vast number of braced “pistols” floating around built in the last few years.

The tax makes buying another .22 can much more appealing but I’m not in a hurry.

To protest what?

I tried to get a reaper through in December, but it took a little bit to get to the dealer. We signed the form4 on the 28th from Silencer Shop, and I am hopeful the remainder doesn't take months.
Fingers crossed for you. That's bad timing. It'll be interesting to see how long that last hurdle takes.

Dude, i grew up learning in the 80s we didn’t even wear ear plugs or at the range. But i still hear great must be the forged in the 80s ears.
I'm about 10 years ahead of you and between shooting, working around aircraft for 30+ years, concerts, and the occasional explosions, I'm surprised I can hear at all. I do have tinnitus which sucks.

Still waiting on what I've already purchased. I'm a little disappointed that my suppressor from the group buy isn't sitting at my SOT waiting for me to do paperwork on. I get it that the ATF called an audible at the last minute and closed transfers for the 2nd half of December but they gave a week or more notice.

I contacted them earlier Dec and told them to ship it so it would be waiting and confirmed they got my SOT info, they said it would go out the week of Dec 15, never heard anything after that and says it’s still processing. Dunno if the atf didn’t approve the form 3 in time or if it never got submitted.

That was my understanding that they would be shipping in December so we could process them in January. I'm not worried, just wondering what time frame we are looking at.
