Who still rocks a 7x57?

I've decided that life is too short to not own another 7x57. My vintage Savage 110 is about to be rebarreled. It is the perfect platform for such a classic caliber.

Frankly, I can't wait!

I have 7x57 model 70 feather weight with the red butt plate. Just sits on the rack as havent rifle hunted in about 15 years. Pretty thing that shoots good with 140 grain ballistic tips.
I keep toying with the idea of selling it but never get around to it.

Sweet gun!

There should be a rule that 7x57's cannot be chambered in ugly rifles. :D

I’ve got a bubba-ized Spanish Mauser from the early 1900s in 7x57. Was a gift from a neighbor when I was a kid. Fixed a broken firing pin, shot half a box through it and it’s lived in the back of the safe ever since. Neat cartridge for sure.

I absolutely love the 7x57. I have an old mauser that my great grandfather brought with him from Germany on March 17th, 1928. Also always on the prowl for a winchester featherweight in 7x57.

I sure wish the stainless Ruger RSI I had (full length stock) in 7x57 had shot better. It was such a beautiful classy rifle. But it was pretty doomed from the start. Pencil-thin 18.5" barrel with contact all over the forend and stainless cap just wasn't ever going to do that round justice.

I've had a couple 6.5x55 Swedes over the years, including one still in the cosmoline back in the 90's that I bought for $150. Sure wish I still had that rifle today. But this build just feels right. It will be nice to be back in the 7x57 game.

Did you use a long action or short action? I wish winchester would bring back the left hand model 70, based on used prices they would make a killing.
