The general purpose rifle

Ehh. Generally speaking when out and about my Tikka 223. Specifically hunting my 6 creed.

I shot too much to keep the 6 creed as my only rifle. And while ive shot deer fine with the 223 I prefer the 6 creed for that.

I'm sorry but IMHO 22-250 is just silly for Elk.

Lots of folks here have used heavy for caliber .22 cal bullets like the 77TMK for elk, moose, etc. there's a several hundred page thread with lots and lots of photos and accounts of this working really well.

Do you have experience with this? Most folks telling the people who have done it successfully that it won't work haven't ever tried it. Maybe you are in the tiny cohort of people who have tried it and had poor outcome as a result of bullet selection?

I didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings. I just my opinion but there must be a reason that all but about four states require .24 caliber and up. And if your honest with yourself just how many failed attempts are ya gonna see posted? It's just MHO nothing more.

Don't flatter yourself, you didn't.

How many from any cartridge do you expect then? Are 300WM shooters just more honest than 223 shooters?

It's just MHO nothing more.

YHO doesn't match actual results, nothing more.
