Still shooting my matthews lx from 05........love it but this HAS to be the last year. Gonna have to step up into the world of 2 cams.
I have entertained the idea of upgrading. The draw cycle on the GTO sucks. Basically full draw weight right to the end. The new stuff is out of my budget. I would rather use the $ available for hunting.
I think the bows that have come out in the last 5 years may be as good as it gets in terms of smoothness, speed, vibration etc. I don't see it getting much better either...all marketing. If you look at the weights and speeds of the bows in the past 5 years I don't see a lot of improvement if any. I've had a 2013 Prime Defy...I shot that bow a ton...traded up to a 2015 Prime Rival....I'm currently shooting a 2016 or 2017 Prime Centergy....In all honesty I can't tell much difference between any of them....I mostly just wanted to go to a neutral color instead of camo.....My Dad used to hunt with a High Country Sniper in Ohio....Our bag limit was usually 7 plus you could hunt Urban....There's no telling how many deer that bow killed.....pick up truck loads full.
