Whitetail Stand Jacket

What kind of hunting are you doing? Is it miles of access where you have to regulate body temperature, trying not to get sweated up? Layers are your friends. Today it was 21 here and 30-35mph winds. I go in light, setup, layer up and days like today I had to use my goggles, I use an old model jetstream, the durable one. But also had a base layer, gridded fleece, lightweight outter then my jetstream and vest, lower was a base, gridded fleece and first day using my new timberlines, had 400g boots, darn tough midweight socks. 3.7mile trek in. Made a 4 hr sit, had an opportunity on a 150-160” 10.

That's a long hike in! I'm primarily just focusing on archery rut hunting in northern PA. Usually no colder than the 20's with wind in the teens.

Windblocker is a must as well as something that is quiet for archery.
