In like new condition. 50 cal

Any recommendations on how I should set it up. We're open sites here in Oregon. But if like to mount a scope on it to find my most accurate load, then replace it with a peep maybe?
What bullet should I start with? What type of powder? Load?
Thank you for the input.

I've always had good good accuracy with No Excuses Bullets in White muzzleloaders. Usually I shoot the 460 grain bullets, but if you call and talk to the owner Dave, he will give you a great recommendation on the best bullet weight to match your needs.

No experience with Whites but I have one of the Eabco peeps/rails on my TC do do just this. That would probably optimum if you could fine one or someone to make one for you.

I own 3 White's and there aren't better full-bore conical muzzleloaders made, IMO. I have used No Excuses and Bull Shop bullets in 460g. I prefer the bullets from Bull Shop as they are lubed in a much more precise manner. I believe the Bull Shop beat NE on price as well, though it's been a couple years since I placed an order.

And my White's like 80g of Triple 7 under a vegetable fiber wad with those 460g Bull Shop bullets. The elk don't like them so much....

I use a white and it shoots lights out!!

No excuses 460’z, and 89g of powder..

Put on a willams peep and from globe then click up and shoot to 300-400 at the range.

Colorado legal as well 👍..

Been looking for a good deal on a used White. They seem to be know for shooting large lead bullets.
