I love traveling for adventure.

I recently returned from my Arctic experience. Something way different.

I saw huge Icebergs, bear killed seals, Arctic foxes, Narwal, Walrus, Ptarmigan, Caribou and ate frozen raw Caribou.

We hunted seals for the guys and dogs to eat.

Traveled about 1000 miles by snowmobile.

Went to the open water flow edge at the tip of Baffin Island which is the 5th largest island on our planet. This is the area the 1845 Capt. Sir John Franklin Expedition traveled searching for the inland passage with the ships HMS Erebus and HMS Terror.

Caught a few bears to photograph with the sled dogs. I got my bear on the eleventh day heading back to the village.

Changing a track since the one ripped. They know all about repairing their transportation.

Butchering a seal to feed dogs. The meat is so rich that they only feed them every other day.

Roger is a great guy. Lots of fun to be with.

Walrus

It never got dark and the sun only set for a couple hours. I slept with a hat over my eyes and earplugs. These guys watched movies, listened to rock&roll and ate candy until early in the morning...haha.
They use snowmobiles for travel 10 months of the year.

My bear shot at 20 yards with Rem 700 AWR .375HH using Swift A-Frame 300gr bullets. It was larger than the earlier bears I passed on.

Dogs and people are tuff in the Arctic.

Jimmy is super. He's funny and knowledgable of things I wouldn't have expected. Awesome dude!

Thats awesome! Thinking about the power required to claw through ice like that, would be tough for me to do with an axe!
The guys told me bears dig through ice like we would dig through wet beach sand. Notice the hair is rubbed off the knuckles of my bear from digging. The bears have black skin!
