I LOVE VEGAS and i am planning on the SCI show.. But man i would like to be in some of the sheep raffles

I'm going to Sheep Show this year, so I guess that's my answer ha

I'm not in the tax bracket of a lot of guys there, but I'm with you, I wanna be in some raffles...somebody has to win those!

My vote is for sheep show. One of these years I will attend.

The Sheep show is much better than the GSCO show. If you are not getting a plaque from GSCO it wouldn't be worth going to. The Sheep show has turned into a very good event with a lot to see and the auctions and banquets are fun. Since I am in Reno I will go to both but the GSCO only takes 1 hour to see the whole thing twice.
For me SCI is a must see. Everyone is there and it is the only place I can look at Royal Antelope hunts, sheep hunts, bongo etc all in one place. I don't really care for Vegas but we sure had fun there last year.

WSF is a great org...but I OD on too much sheep stuff.

I did the SCI show this year and though much of the hunting is not what I'm interested in doing- it was very interesting, I would recommend it. I will never own a $50,000 shotgun either but i sure can appreciate a nice one- and there were bunch.

As a side note, don't be afraid to ask questions at these things- great source of info;

I got the straight scoop on Kodiak deer herds- Ak F&G guys there

I got some good insights into North African political developments- just curious if the mass media had it right- they don't [one word- Oil]

Idaho F&G guys confirmed some elk herd and behavior info in a couple spots

I had been looking for a LH bolt action coyote rifle and talked to a lot of the custom guys...a bit more than I wanted to spend for a beater rifle. I talked to the RCBS reloading guys and they said, "why not a Savage?" they went into Savages new mnfr techniques that are being copied by others now and how accurate they are...anyway for $650 with a scope, it shoots better than I can shoot it.

I've been to a couple sheep shows and will go back soon, but I want to go to GSCO first. SCI, whenever I find time.

I think this year i am going to go to SCI and shoot the Vegas shoot.. I love vegas and have free rooms and flights.. So all i will ahave to pay for is shoot enrty and sci entry.
