Which tripod and head combo

I am looking into a tripod and head for my Maven B2 9x45. I have found a couple in my price range. I want to spend under $300 total. Below seem to get good reviews so I am leaning one of these ways. The VA5 Sirui head seems a bit better than the SPCH20 head but the pro master xcm525ck tripod gets awesome reviews. The below 3 options are what I was thinking but am open to other suggestions.

1. $300
Sirui t024sk tripod
Sirui VA5 head

2. $270
Pro master xcm525ck tripod
SPCH20 head

3. $385
Buy separate pro master tripod ($220) and VA5 head ($165). A little above what I wanted to spend.

Thanks!

I just got the Promaster XCM 522CK delivered today and I'm glad I went this route. Joel @ Camera Land will hook you up.

UPS delivered the Sirui combo from Cameraland this afternoon. Only had a few hours to mess with it so far, but looks to be pretty sweet.

If you think you may want the option to shoot a reasonably weighted mountain rifle off of it, then check out the Field Optics Flexlite. It’s 12oz and slides right on and off of the VA-5 head by pressing one button. Obviously, I haven’t used this setup in the field yet, but it’s cool in the non-adverse conditions of my man cave ....

The VA-5 head is nice. Though mine is on a cheaper tripod, the Sirui T-004S. Cameraland took care of me.

Has anyone ever put the below tripod on a scale? I remember reading that some folks said it's not 2.2 lbs like it's listed?

I have the previous generation of option 2, great tripod and head. No complaints, it pans smooth and is stable enough for my Kowa 883.

Talked to Joel. Ordered the promaster setup. Primarily will be used for binos, so I think that's a good bet. Thanks everyone.

It’s not cheap, but I think you will find a lot of people that like the outdoorsman bino adapter. I had a cheap vortex one before I bought the outdoorsman and it was a night and day difference.

Looks like vortex now has one that looks just like the outdoorsman.

RRS Cinch is a great bino adapter. I have the polymer ($40) and it works great. Very quick on and off and you don't have to remove it to put it in your bino pouch. If you want to spend more they have a metal one for $100 but I personally don't know why you would need a metal one.

I use the outdoorsman bino adapter now but started off with the field optics research one first. I had no issues with the field optics research one but with everyone recommending the outdoorsman version I bought it. I do like how the outdoorsman version feels a lot more secure and locks in well.

Listen to him. The outdoorsman adapter is the best and so simple.

Thanks. I’m going to order that then. Weird it doesn’t come with the stud and you have to purchase separate. I like the easy on and off without having to unscrew the stuff every time.

Yea, it’s expensive but it’s so easy on and off. I just put a stud on all my binos. Not sure if you can find a coupon code online but I’d look around before you buy.

You can at least save shipping if you sign up for their mailer.

I was just in the same boat as you. Went with the slik 634 and VA-5 from cameraland. Best glassing setup I have had yet. Also went with the RRS cinch. Way better IMO for Bino adapters. Fits right in my marsupial M enclosed. I’ve tried a bunch of different studs and the cinch is so much faster and convenient. Set it up once and your done ,I had the outdoors man and this is a step above. Cameraland had the best prices and will treat you right.
